Kalix Legacy Foundation Goal Camp
This upcoming August, our organization is going to host the first annual Southern Alberta free goal camp for low-income households in Airdrie, Alberta. This camp will be free for 24 goaltenders in age groups U9 to U18. Our purpose for the camp is to provide quality goaltending training both on and off the ice while also creating momentous interactions for the goaltenders attending. The camp will be run by professional individuals with hockey experience, specifically goalie development and qualified on ice and dryland volunteers.
The camp will be split into two different age groups, U9/U13 and U15/U18, and will consist of two ice times and two dryland sessions for each group. Lunch and dinner will be provided for the goalies on both days and will include speeches from mentors. Each kid will get a jersey for the camp along with swag to take home. All goalies are welcome to apply, but please note that goalies will be chosen first based on their financial needs and/or restrictions.
Application Process
To apply for the goal camp, please complete each section accordingly. Please note that at this time, only applicants residing in the province of Alberta will be eligible to participate in this camp. Applicants must have played at least one season in hockey as we are not a learn to skate program to be able to participate in our camp.
The camp is completely free to all attendees, so at this time we only have 24 spots available. We welcome all goaltenders to apply but please be aware that we will be choosing goaltenders based on financial needs first.

Kalix Legacy Charity Classic Celebration Banquet 2024
The Kalix Legacy Charity Classic Celebration Banquet is taking place on June 22nd at 6 pm at the 525 Restaurant & Patio, located at 525 Woodside Drive NW, Airdrie. This event is a dinner and gathering for participants, sponsors, and possible celebrities. The banquet includes dinner and door prizes. Kalix Legacy Celebrity Charity Hockey Game 2024
The Kalix Legacy Celebrity Charity Hockey Game is taking place on June 22nd at 11:30 am at the Ron Ebbesen Twin Arena, located at 200 East Lake Crescent in Airdrie. This NHL experience event allows you to be part of a celebrity game, enjoy intermission entertainment and games, and catch live interviews with celebrity guests. Additionally, there will be prizes and a two-day silent auction to add to the excitement. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of a great cause while enjoying an action-packed day at the Kalix Legacy Celebrity Charity Hockey Game.
Kalix Legacy Golf Charity Classic 2024
The Kalix Legacy Golf Charity Classic is taking place on June 21st at 1pm at Collicutt Siding Golf Course located in Crossfield, Alberta. The event follows Texas Scramble rules and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, food and beverages at the holes, as well as prizes for participants. Additionally, the event offers a two-day silent auction to add to the excitement. Don't miss your chance to join in on the fun while supporting a great cause at the Kalix Legacy Golf Charity Classic.
Kalix's 23rd Birthday Online Auction
2023 BIRTHDAY AUCTION!
Kalix would've been 23 this year! To honour him, we are once again hosting a birthday auction and again with the help from Morrison Auctions!
So we are looking for donations both big and small! Donations will be accepted until October 20th.
The auction will run from October 23 to October 30, 2023.
We will announce our total funds raised on Kalix's birthday, November 1st.
All proceeds made from this event is going towards providing funding for Airdrie youth and families facing financial barriers accessing sports.
We can cover anywhere from 50% to 100% of the fees and equipment costs depending on the program or training, the applicant's financial situation, and on funds available. As all our funding is raised through sponsorships, donations, and fundraising, we look towards you, the community to help make Kalix's dream (and ours) of helping kids play sports a reality.
